
Mark your calendars for IMA’s 9th Annual Student Leadership Conference to be held November 6-8, 2008 in Jacksonville, FL at the Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront.
As in past years, students will have an excellent opportunity to network with accounting and finance professionals, fellow students, and educators from across the country. Learn from the experts about management accounting career opportunities, the value of Certified Management Accounting (CMA®) certification, leadership, ethics, Six Sigma, IFRS, strategic planning and budgeting, forensic accounting, resume writing, and more. The conference agenda is currently in the planning stages. As in prior years, the lineup of presenters will consist of leading practitioners and professors.

A special feature will be added to this year's event. As Premium Sponsor, Johnson & Johnson will offer an interviewing and résumé writing workshop for students. The company will also conduct on-site interviews with 10 top students selected based on the following criteria:
Minimum 3.0 GPA
Accounting, Finance, Economic major
Permanent work authorization in the US
Graduation dates of December 2008 - May 2009 for full time employment opportunities
(Graduation dates for internship opportunities to be determined shortly)
Résumés must be submitted in advance along with conference registration to be considered for an on-site interview. If registering by mail or fax, please submit your résumé along with your completed registration form. If registering online, please upload your résumé when prompted within the registration process. Submissions will be accepted starting September 3, 2008 and must be received by October 17, 2008 to be considered for an on-site interview.
